John-Joseph Wilkins is a Senior Associate and Senior Operations Manager at The Azure Forum for Contemporary Security Strategy. He holds responsibility for the strategic communications and external activities of The Forum, as well as coordinating publications and operational processes under the Executive Director. In his role as Senior Associate, he manages the South Asia research portfolio, with a focus on security and defence-related matters in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Prior to this, John-Joseph was the Public Information Officer at the EU Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) in both Paris and Brussels, where he was in charge of communications and outreach and contributed to foresight publications with a focus on India and Pakistan. In addition to time working in the EU Delegation to India and Bhutan in Delhi, he has served in the Royal Yeomanry, Westminster Dragoons, of the British Army Reserve; a light cavalry unit specialising in formation reconnaissance and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) defence and mitigation. He holds an MSc in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and speaks German, French and basic Urdu.
